The rewards

This is your chance to win £100 worth of sports vouchers. There's an incredible variety of events available on Ticketmaster, so you'll be spoilt for choice.
Big prizes aside, we have a feeling that over the course of the competition, you'll find out some surprising things about Herbert Smith - and what we can do for your development.

How it works

Every day between Monday 15 February and Sunday 28 February, we'll be giving away £100 worth of vouchers to spend on a major sporting event.

This is an SMS-based competition. First, you'll need to text 'herbertsmith7' to 81707 to subscribe. Looking back so far...

Reviewing some of the events in Michaelmas term '09 so far...
We had a Fresher's Fayre booth, in which 505 members joined our society; since then, we have had more than 100 members join, making the total number of members 640. It was followed by the Big Night Out where most of our freshers joined in for a great dinner and fun party afterwards.
We organised The Legal Apprentice, a pro bono fundraising event - see here for the results!
We also participated in the Dechert Quiz, held on the 4th December at Dechert's offices. You can see their website at http://www.dechert.com/. We entered 5 teams consisting of four students each. The other universities who participated were King's College London and University College London, who also entered 5 teams each.

The Quiz was similar to a pub quiz - quite relaxed and informal, and consisted of rounds such as music and sport while some of the questions had a legal theme. It was held last year as well and will hopefully continue, as most of our participants had a great time.
